How do I remove the leather grip from the bottle?
You simply unscrew the bottom lid, pull the grip gently and it will come right off. Same thing when you put it on again. After a few practice rounds, it will go like a charm! If you still need some advise on it, check out this tip.
How do I clean my bottle?
The steel bottle machine washable or is best cleaned with a bottle brush, water and mild soap. Make sure to dismantle the bottle before cleaning to avoid moisture getting caught in the tube and let it air dry afterwards. Stains on the grip should be removed gently with a wet towel.
Will a regular dish brush or bottle brush fit my bottle?
Yes.
What do I do if I spill liquids on the leather sleeve and get a stain?
It is genuine leather so it can be treated like most leather products. If possible, wipe if off immediately with a cloth. If the stain has stucked, use a damp (cold) sponge and a leather soap and wipe it off with a cloth. To soften up the leather, work it with your hands and if needed use a leather wax afterwards.
Can I put hot liquids in my bottle?
Yes, the container is designed for both cold and hot beverages.
Will regular ice cubes fit my bottle?
Yes.
Can I use any liquid in my bottle?
Yes, most drinking liquids in general work fine. If you fill it with carbonated liquids, make sure to be careful with increased pressure when unscrewing the lid and keep it away from small children.
What is your criteria when defining insulation characteristics for the bottle?
We simply use it and look at the outcome. Many bottles and thermoses exaggerate their insulation characteristics which is very dependent upon how it was conducted. We spend a lot of time being active in the outdoors and our numbers reflect our own hands-on experiences. To see a graph of our insulation follow LINK
How can I store my bottle?
You can store it anywhere, but avoid extreme conditions such as the freezer or very hot places. If you have hot liquids in it, make sure to keep it away from small children.
ENVIRONMENT
Is this bottle a good alternative for the environment?
In general, most refillable bottles are a strong environmental alternative, especially compared to single use plastic bottles. The longer you keep it the more sustainable it becomes.
Are the sleeves environmentally friendly?
Most stainless steel bottles have features made in other materials than stainless steel, such as plastic lids, silicone seal rings, paint etc. Our bottle is made in stainless steel, the lid is a combination of steel, polypropylene plastic and silicone and our sleeves are made in natural and/or non-toxic substrates with as little environmental impact as possible.
How do you source your leather?
Our leather is ethically produced and vegetable tanned from Tärnsjö Garveri.

How long can I expect my bottle to last?
JÄRV comes with a limited life time guarantee (see our warranty). Depending on wear and tear you might want to switch sleeve after a while but this is also individual since older tubes possess a certain patina.
When will I get my order?
